WORKING GROUPS

The EHS Task Force is a platform gathering industry leaders, policy makers & experts. Its purpose is to drive EU policy in the health sector through high-level meetings, private working groups as well as public debates.

You will find below a brief presentation of the 4 EHS Task Force working groups.

Public Debate – 23 April 2021

WORKING GROUP 2

EUROPEAN HEALTH DATA SPACE

The potential of data for research and innovation in order to improve population`s health is immense, however this comes with its own challenges. Improved policies in how to manage the use of data and encourage its optimal use are imperative. This group will try to unlock some of these challenges and come forward with suggestions.

Public Debate – 10tJune 2021

WORKING GROUP 3

INNOVATIVE MEDICINE, RARE DISEASES AND GENE THERAPY

The rare disease field is lacking medical and scientific knowledge due to its nature, oftentimes with no real public health policies. Science insofar is the only instrument that could provide answers when it comes down to diagnosis and treatment in this area and eventually steer policy in the right direction.

WORKING GROUP 4

THE STATUS OF HERA

The first working group of the task force has focused on the discussion of Hera Incubator which is set to continue in the coming months throughout the year. A second meeting will evaluate the current status and prepare a high-level discussion on the imminent HERA, to be announced by the Commission in December 2021.
